I know it doesn't technically count as an absence - but we all know that once school starts we'll have a lot less time to RP (but we'll still keep it up, right? Don't let Retroville Advanced die!!). So I thought I'd make a board to post when school starts for everybody.
Mine doesn't start til the 22nd of August - I've got a good week or so left.

It's not so hard now, but I'm sure it will become more difficult in a week or so -- I started the 10th. Bah, stupid school board.

Mine doesn't start until Sep. 5th or something. *shrug* Hahahahahahah. In the meantime, I'll be lounging in Orange County, California (not the OC) from the 21st on, so I don't know how much I'll be able to post until the start of school.

Wow! That is late; that's when my mom said SHE started school every year. (It's her b-day. How'd you like THAT as a present?)

Wow - that's pretty late. We're starting a week or so earlier this year, but apparently we're getting the entire week off for Thanksgiving and three weeks for Christmas. :3 I think it's to make up for this crazy schedule we had last year - our school was being tested by the district or something so we got out at really random times...it was crazy. That's horrible the first day of school was on her birthday! :3 Well, at least there's no tests or anything - midterms always fall on my birthday.

Ew. I'm sorry. As for me, it's always been in the summer time. I hope I never go to a school that gets out late; my cousin's school doesn't get out until the 13th of June.

The 13th of June? That's late? We didn't get out until the 17th this year! I've never gotten out that early... eh whatever. My birthday is in January, so nothing really exciting is going on. No tests or anything. I want to be in summer, for the sake of going to a water park for my birthday.

My birthday's in January, too, but for some reason I always get stuck with midterms.
And yeah - I've always wanted to have a pool party for my birthday, but it's always so cold. ;_;
This year we got out on the 9th of June. We always get out around that time.

Eh. You're lucky. But I'm glad I get until the fifth off. Pools and hot weather (and DISNEYLAND!) here I come!

Wow. I'm feeling... well, I can't say better about my schedule, but equalized, I guess. I got out the 25th of May!
And I honestly can't say I've ever had the pool-party problem in January. I jumped in at midnight on New Years. ...Of course, in stinking Arizona it's not that bad; it was only about 50, which was sooo refreshing after the day of weather in the 70's that preceded it. Godd gravey, how I hate this state.

Heh - I live in the Mojave Desert of California and it's fairly hot out here except during the winter. Then it's freezing, because we live in this valley so all the snow and cold from the mountain tops blow over and brrrr...

Aww, I envy you! We had an especially warm winter this year -- didn't get below 60. Hot summer, too -- 119. Bleh. Wanna trade? I could really go for a few cold months.

HAH, warmth, she says. To clear up the confusion that you obviously harbor, the dry heat we are experiencing at the moment is comparable to what you feel when you open an oven door. But it's CONSTANT.

Heheheh - yeah, we get that here too. XP I don't remember the highest temp we've had this summer - last time I checked it was 111. But I'd choose heat over cold anytime. I can not STAND being cold.
