Betty Quinlan was completely and utterly pissed off. Here she was, standing in the middle of the Retroville High gym, midst all the decorations and blaring music that she - as head of the dance committee - had chosen herself, and she was so not satisfied. This dance was her project, her baby, and she was ready to go home. And all because of that ass, Nick, She thought, glaring across the dance floor at him, tightening her grip on her little plastic cup of punch. She was furious. Livid, even. Even though Cindy Vortex had gone with Jimmy Neutron to the dance - the main topic of conversation in the girl's bathroom as those popular-wannabes crowded in there in herds to reapply their makeup and gossip among themselves - even though Cindy had a date, Nick Dean had STILL not asked her. He had, instead, chose to come to the dance tonight with that evil slut of a sophomore, Britney. And there they were - on the opposite side of the gym - dancing rather inappropriately. Betty took some consolation in the hope that they would be kicked out soon enough. She was already planning on alerting the next passing chaperon. And, to make Betty feel worse, Nick hadn't even looked at her tonight. And she was wearing her sexiest outfit to date, too! While the majority of the female species in attendance at the dance had gone all out in their formals (Britney was in a short pink cocktail, which looked absolutely horrible on her, or so Betty judged), Betty had actually stuck to the dress code. Yet here she was in her lipstick red tube-top minidress - the one lined by black feathers - and she had gotten not one glance from the king of the sophomores. Splash!Betty growled as she looked at the puddle of punch on the floor and promptly dropped the cup she had crushed in her anger. The janitor could get that. She turned to her own date - some loser she had picked up the second she had heard about Nick and Britney whose name eluded her. "You," She snapped, "Get me some more punch." As he scuttled off, Betty leaned against the wall, crossed her arms and continued her glaring at Nick and Britney. If looks could kill... (ooc - Excuse Betty's swearing. She is a very pissed off female senior. Uh...if anyone wants to jump in - that's fine with me. xD;;; I didn't really know how Betty would fit into the dance without a date, so I just threw this up. Take it wherever you want...)

After laboring on his hair and clothes for way longer than needed, the tan, dark haired sophomore met up with his date to the Back-to-School Dance, Britney. The cute sophomore did a little twirl in a slinky little pink dress. Even though he was going to the dance with her, Nick wasn't totally into her. He glanced down at his date with a casual smirk, making a mental note, that although cute, she was definitely too ditzy for a girlfriend.
Nick Dean swaggered into the dance, catching the attention from all around the gym. He then draped his arm around Britney's shoulders a 5-watt smile lighting up his face. He caught some high-fives from his friends, hung out with them by the punch bowl for a few minutes, while Britney mingled with a few popular sophomores. Nick was laughing at a joke when the gaze of those dark, cocoa eyes swept over the room, surveying the high school dance scene. It was horribly uninteresting until he saw Cindy Vortex in the arms of Retroville's resident dork, Jimmy Neutron. 'Neutron?? She likes Jimmy Neutron?!.. How could she possibly fall for a guy like that?' Though it annoyed him slightly, it was irrelevant, since he had long gotten over being rejected by the blond beauty. Nick shrugged it off and moved away from his friends to get a drink.
While standing at the punch bowl, some senior nobody wandered over, quickly grabbed two drinks and walked away muttering something about 'Betty..' Intrigued, Nick turned around and watched as the senior approached none other than, Betty Quinlan. Nick felt his mouth go dry at the sight of her in a bright red dress, her sleek dark hair styled to perfection. Now right there was girlfriend material. Gorgeous, sweet, popular and a Senior. But.. would the Queen of the Seniors date the King of the Sophomores? Maybe sometime.. Painfully he tore his gaze away from Betty, grateful that he hadn't noticed his stare, and glanced back at Britney. Nick then decided that he had enough of standing at the punch bowl so he went to Britney, and grabbed her arm, pulling her out onto the dance floor.
"Come on Brit! Its time to get dancing, you girls can talk about how great I look, later in the bathrooms." Britney giggled as only a ditzy blond could as he slid his arms around her waist, and they began dancing to the music. As the songs got faster, perhaps they were going a little overboard on the dancing, but who was really going to tell a chaperon on the King of the Sophomores?
While they were dancing he couldn't help but wonder if he should go talk to Betty Quinlan, she was a senior.. did he have any chance with her at all? The feelings he felt about her were different then anything he had every really felt, and it stripped the cocky popular sophomore of his confidence around her. 'Get ahold of yourself Nick.. finish this dance.. and go ask her to dance.. or.. something...' Nick stole a glance at her, and watched as she dropped her glass on the ground. With a sigh he decided she looked too mad to ask to dance, Betty was acting like she might maim the next person to breathe withen a ten-foot radius.
((Thank you so much for allowing me to play Nick Dean, I'm really excited about it, I'm sorry if this post was awful, I haven't rpged as a guy in a long time, and I have to get back into it.. ^^ Thanks, oh and Flower.. I figured I'll have Nick have a crush on Betty.. we can take that wherever.. ))

I hate him! I hate him - I positively hate him! He's a puny little sophomore dweeb. Betty thought, shooting death glares across the gym at the young couple that had infuriated her so. A dweeb with perfect hair, true, but a dweeb none-the-less!! He's such a freaking loser. You can so tell he's only taking Britney because she'll so completely put out later. God - he's not even worth my time. I can do so much better than him. He's just a puny little sophomore dweeb.
These were some of the nicer thoughts running through Betty's head. They were, of course, sprinkled with certain explicits that would have shocked the world if Betty spoke them. But Betty was raging, and rage called for cursing. He's just a huge pig-headed ass, she thought, narrowing her eyes to tiny slits. Why did I even want to go with him?
A timid voice broke her from her glares of hatred, causing her Betty to jump. Angrily, she slid her eyes from Britney and Nick (who had, annoyingly, begun dancing even closer than before - Betty didn't even think that was possible!) onto the face of her interrupter. Her date stood there, a shaking hand holding out another small cup of punch, but he's eyes were elsewhere; he was staring intently at Betty's arm. Betty followed his gaze, and jumped again, releasing her tight grip on her arms, rapidly uncrossing them. In her irate state of being, she had been digging her perfectly manicured and extraordinarily sharp nails into her skin - a trail of blood trickled down her right arm.
"Ow," she whispered, trailing a finger from her left hand up her arm, trapping the blood. Inwardly, she let out a laugh - bright red lipstick, bright red dress, bright red punch on the floor beneath her, bright red blood running down her arm. It was only a tiny trickle, so she let it be and instead snatched the punch from her date's hand, and returned her glance to Nick.
Wait - was that her imagination or did he glance at her? She jumped again, in a mixture of shock and joy, promptly dropping her punch to floor again. A loud groan escaped her date, and Betty took a step back from the puddle, a small grin forming on her face. Ha - so he did notice her! Betty knew it - she was just too drop-dead gorgeous NOT to be noticed. How could she had doubted his interests for a minute? Of course he loved her - who didn't love her? This loser-of-a-date of hers was returning to the table for yet another glass of punch with a look of pure annoyance, but underneath it all, Betty knew he was glad to be doing it for her. Poor Nick - he was probably only here with Britney because she made him or some horrible trick like that! And Nick was madly in love with Betty but couldn't get up the nerve to ask her to the dance and he had to go with Britney and...
But wait- if he's so in love with me, then what's he getting so close to her for? Betty thought, realizing a foul flaw in her budding theory. Oh, but she had felt for sure he had noticed her! Hmmm...there were three things Betty could do right now. One - she could stay here against the wall and continue her spiting until Britney dropped dead. Two - she could attempt to steal Nick away from the sophomore girl, or Three - she could go for the revenge plot.
Well, Betty was tired of option one. Frowning leads to wrinkles, and Betty was too pretty for wrinkles. Options two and three were both so tempting, so for now she would just throw a coy little wave at Nick and see where things went from there. Which was exactly what she did.
(OOC: Augh! I just wanted to say you're my hero for being Nick. XD; I love you so much.)

Dancing with Britney for awhile, Nick fought to keep his attention on the cute blond dancing with him, but he found himself longing to look over at Betty again. Stealing a quick glance, he saw her wave at him. Wait.. did she really wave at him. He glanced around him, seeing no one else she would be waving to, and a grin crept up his face. 'So perhaps there is hope..' Nick thought happily to himself.
Nick and Britney danced for a little while longer, until the music began fading into quieter songs, and they were getting a little tired of dancing. A few minutes later, Britney conveniently decided it was time to go 'freshen up' with her girlfriends in the bathroom. Shrugging his broad shoulders and muttering an enthused "Whatever.." he was met by a glare from his blond date. Quite frankly, he didn't care if Britney was annoyed or not. There was a gorgeous brunette on the other side of the gym sucking up all his thoughts.
His friend Sean slapped him on the back, promptly snapping Nick out of his stupor. "Dude.. what's up with you? You got all quiet and boring all of sudden, careful, make sure your adoring public doesn't notice." Steve teased with a pleasant smirk. Nick turned to him, his dark eyebrows furrowed, "Look Steve, I know I'm a little out of it.. but there's a girl I want to talk to, but I don't know even *I* have a chance with her.. I guess I'm just weighing my options.." He finished quietly, glancing down at his expensive black shoes, watching as he shuffled his feet around. His friend looked surprised, and pushed him towards the dance floor, causing Nick to look up at him again, confused. "Nick.. if you don't go talk to her, you're going to regret it, besides, with all your charm and guts, if you can't win her.. no one can.. I'll take care of Britney.."
The handsome sophomore felt strange that he just had such a 'deep' conversation with his best friend, but shrugged it off as he pulled his fingers through his jet black locks, fixing them into place. Adjusting his signature leather jacket, and his loosely tied tie, he slowly made his way across the gym towards Betty. The nervousness that overwhelmed him was nothing he had felt around a girl before. Perhaps that was the difference, Betty was no girl, she was a woman.
Alone. Betty stood alone, in that stunning red dress, and Nick finally got a look of how radiant she looked tonight. A few beads of sweat dampened the back of his collar as he approached her, with his most charming smile across his face. As he spoke his voice exuded his normal confidence and coolness, yet his heart was beating so fast he could feel the thundering in his ears. "Good Evening Betty.. You look almost as good as I do tonight.." As he spoke, he found himself second guessing every syllable, and he began to wonder why he was so unconfidant around Betty, when charming girls was the easiest thing in the world to him.
"I don't I've seen you out on the dance floor at all tonight, which is surprising, because pretty seniors don't tend to spend a whole dance being a wallflower..."
((Whoosh.. I hope this ish ok.. ^^ I just wanted to move it along since the dance ends.. tomorrow ^^))

He's walking over!, a little voice in Betty's head squealed, He's coming over! He's getting closer! She mentally shushed the voice, slightly amused yet worried by it. High-pitched yelping over a boy? She had seen her friends act that way before - but Betty had always been able to keep her cool and put her incredible flirting skills to work. When the star quarterback would approach the girls after cheer-leading practice, Betty's friends would giggle mindlessly, stutter out a "Hey," and then twirl their hair stupidly as Betty compliment the team captain on his hair that day. She had never been reduced to the bumbling stupidity of those girls - but already she could feel her brain going numb at the sight of Nick Dean approaching. He's here!! The voice was screaming. She silenced it again, trying her best to keep herself under control. But even the best fail sometimes, and at Nick's first compliment she let out one of those giggles she so despised. Damn, She thought, immediately disgusted with herself, Come on, Quinlan - you can do better than this! He's just like any other boy - you can do this! Just calm down...play it cool...and...go!She smiled at him - a small, closed-mouth smile, no teeth involved. She wanted to look sexy, not friendly! Looking at him coyly from under long, luxurious lashes, she casually swiped a strand of her hair behind her ear and calmly said, "Well - you've been so caught up in Britney - how would you know I haven't been dancing?" Oops. Didn't mean to say that. Bitter, much?, She scolded herself. Better fix that! She lowered her eyes and shrugged her arms, sadly sighing, "Oh, my date's a total klutz - two left feet - hasn't even asked me to dance yet!" Really her date had asked her dance five times already, all to which Betty spat out an angry "NO!", but Nick didn't need to know that. She raised her eyes slowly again, the sly smile finding it's way back to her face. "But I suppose if I found the right partner..." She lingered here for a moment, eying Nick from head to toe, "I might just give the dance floor another try." She was slightly horrified to find a blush creeping across her cheeks. It was only a tint of rosy pink, not the full-on bright red of her dress, but it was still a blush. Had she ever blushed in the presence of a boy? Only when she made herself in a flirtatious attempt - but this time...this time the blush had found it's way there on it's own. How much did she really like this boy?! (( Halfa said she might extend the dance dates - which is what I'm hoping for. It's just now getting fun! ))

Nick found himself eagerly returning the Beauty's charming smile, white teeth gleaming from behind full, grinning lips. The senior's flirty giggle sent a chill down his spine, it was a good feeling unlike anything he was used to. Perhaps the dark-haired boy had fallen way further for the gorgeous senior than he suspected. After all, Betty Quinlan was everything a guy could want, yet deep down she was as beautiful as she was on the outside, and that was made her intoxicating.
Then Betty called him out in her own unique way. How was he supposed to explain his interest in her while dancing with his own date? Uh.. Because I've been catching glimpses of you all night.. He was way to cool to just admit that to her, he had to camouflage his feelings. For at least a little while. "Well, everyone takes notice when Betty Quinlan attempts to play a wallflower.." Nick immediately winced at the comment, brutally scrutinizing every word that came out of his mouth. Then he realized she was still here. Betty hadn't banished him to the remote ends of the earth, saying he was too young and lowly to be in her lovely presence. Adjusting his leather jacket again, encouraged by his realization, Nick suddenly found his boldness rising.
Betty's milky white skin suddenly took on a rosy hue, and he had to ask himself, 'Is she blushing, or am I crazy..?' He tended to assume the later, but then again he was being rather hard on himself tonight. A moment later Nick felt a surge of confidence well up from within him once again, and he was eternally grateful. He once again felt his lips curl up into a most charming grin. Dramatically he bowed down slightly, extending his hand to the lovely brunette, as he casually asked, "I can't imagine how anyone could not want to dance with you.. So Miss Quinlan, may I be honored to have this dance?" Desperately he awaited her answer, every second dragging like an eternity. Then, as if on cue, a slow, romantic song poured out over the speakers.
(( W00t! This is fun, oh and thanks for saying I'm your hero ^^, your my hero too, because you write really really good. I hope I can someday be half as decent as you ^^ You Rock my world!! Heck.. this whole group rocks my world!! But.. Yeah for Nick and Betty, this should be fun, if the dance does end tomorrow, then we'll just get to pick one of a million places and progress ^^ ))

He was charming, alright. There was absolutely no doubt about it - Nick Dean was a full blown enchanter. Which was perfectly alright by Betty - she had long been awaiting her Prince Charming. She'd just have to be just a enchanting back. And Betty was most experienced in that department.
With a toss of her hair, she let out a captivated laugh. The silly girly voice in her head and silence - or at least settled into quiet blissful sighs - and Betty was feeling much more self-assured. She smiled once more, this time a smile of pure happiness - no attempt to be alluring here; though, in fact, this sincere smile was perhaps her most alluring smile yet. Her small hands found her hips, and she raised her eyebrows at Nick, maintaining a look of faux-indignation. In her eyes shone a mixture of amusement, pleasure and flirtation. The faint blush remained on her cheeks, but now it seemed more a glow than a mark of shyness and embarrassment.
"A wallflower? I?" She said, teasingly, "I'll show you wallflower, Mr. Dean." She extended her soft, smooth hand to him, "I'd love to dance."
She wondered briefly whatever happened to her date (was it Jerry? Or was his name Gary?), but the elegant grin of Nick Dean immediately drowned this thought out as she eagerly waited for him to take her hand and escort her out onto the dance floor. She was about ready to fly into his arms...
(( Wow, this post was short. xP;; I guess that's just what happens when it's dialogue-ish. Awww - I'm really not that good, but thanks. ^.^;; I love your posts - you make the perfect Nick! ))

I'd love to dance...The words repeated a few times in his mind before they sank in. Nick stared at her for a moment, scared she would run away so one by one his fingers closed over hers. With a wonderful fire burning in his gut, he seriously began to think he was dreaming. That he wasn't really holding Betty Quinlan's hand. That she hadn't really said 'yes' to dancing with him. Yet, here he was, leading the most beautiful creature alive out onto the dance floor. For a moment everything was perfect. The soft, quiet music was sweet and romantic and Nick couldn't have asked for a better song. What was the name of the song..? Heaven, and right now it was his absolute favorite song.
Time seemed to move slower as Nick gazed into Betty's gentle eyes surprised to find that she was gazing back at him. Finally stopping they stood still for a moment in the middle of dance floor. Slowly as he slid his hand to rest upon the small of her back, his other hand clasping the other. With a gentle smile, he began swaying to the soft music while revealing in Betty's beauty. There she was, the true definition of perfection resting within his arms. A minute or so later he felt comfortable in the gentle swaying, and took the chance lean down to whisper into her ear.
"Betty.. I could pretend that I haven't had my eye on you all night. But it would be a complete lie... You always take my breath away and even more so tonight. I asked you to dance thinking that would reject me.. I am after all, only a sophomore, holding you in my arms.. how did I end up so lucky?"

They were dancing - they were actually dancing! Betty mentally chastised herself for being so immature and ... squealy. They were dancing, true, and she was blissfully happy that they were. But they were only dancing, and as magical as dancing was, Betty told herself she would only give herself permission to squeal and get giddy when something more had happened. But what was that something more? When they were going out? When they kissed for the first time? Though those very thoughts made Betty's insides leap for joy, they still reminded her of her ditsy friends, who turned around screaming the second after they were asked out, who called Betty two seconds after their first kiss, high on their crush. It was so immature and so annoying, honestly - it wasn't as if they were going to marry these boys. Inside her head, she laughed. Yes, that was it - she would allow herself to squeal when she and Nick were married. Until then, she would just play it off as her cool and confident self.
But as Betty swayed slowly in Nick's arms, she realized controlling her emotions was definitely going to be harder than she realized. Though she was desperate to pull her eyes away from Nick's and stare happily into those of the girls who were so tragically jealous of her, she found she couldn't. It was if she was under a spell - she was simply captivated by him. He was whispering in her ear now, the warm breath sending shivers down her spine. And the words her uttered made her positively melt. He as the lucky one? Betty was prepared to blurt out that she must be the luckiest girl alive - that even if he was a sophomore, she was beginning to think she didn't have a chance with him - that she had been watching him all night - that she was so incredibly jealous of Britney that she had been shooting looks of death at her from across the gym...
Er...perhaps she would have to edit that a bit. She didn't want to come off clingy or stalker-ish or anything...
"Oh, Nick, you flatter," She purred, though she was desperately trying to keep her voice from shaking, "Surely, I must be the lucky one! Dancing with Nick Dean - the most popular, not to mention most good-looking boy in all of Retroville High. Why, I must be the envy of every girl here!"
She took this moment to look around the gym, rather impressed with herself at all the jealous looks she was receiving from the majority of the female population at the dance. She stepped closer to Nick, closing the gap between them - at first an attempt to create more envy among her peers, but when she began to feel Nick's warmth emanating off him, her heart beat faster. Clouds filled her head, chasing away all her thoughts of impressing the other girls.

Chuckling quietly as she coy-fully combated his compliment, while a smirk began tugging at his lips. "Perhaps Betty, we just deserve each other then. Also, when have you not been the envy of every girl here?" The statement was delivered perfectly, but deep down he wanted to pick her up and spin her around, screaming happily as though he had won the ultimate prize. The affections of Miss Betty Quinlan. Though tough, he managed to refrain from making a complete ass out of himself, now that he finally had Betty right where he wanted her. About an inch or two away.
The pretty brunette glanced around for a moment, and as she did, he breathed in the sweet smell of her hair. Everything about her was absolute intoxicating, and with every moment he felt himself falling deeper into.. Into what exactly? Love? Am I that far gone? Is this what love felt like? Something that feels so good, yet confuses the hell out of you all at once? Perhaps thats why people say its so complicated. Betty then drew closer to him, and Nick could feel the warmth of her slender frame pressing gently against him. Her gentle touch made his blood course like fire though his veins.
Taking her hand, and dropping it onto his shoulder, his slid his other hand around her waist, his arms circling about her. Wordlessly Nick held the stunning woman in his arms, unaware of the surprised stares and gaping mouthes that surrounded them. His chin came to rest atop of her head. She thinks 'she's' the lucky one? What guy in this room wouldn't kill to be in my position? Then again, he was pretty freaking' popular himself. Enough of that, for the first time in a long while, Nick didn't care about how popular he was, or how cool he looked, or even if every hair was in place(OK, maybe he still cared a little) All his mind could grapple with was, where do I go from here?
Dating? Going steady? Would she truly accept him? The gaze of his warm brown eyes stared down at the top of her head, tightening his arms around her, as though she might fly away. No. It didn't appear she had any intention of leaving him. The Lord knew he had no intention of leaving her either. When had things ever worked out this perfectly? Never, from what he could remember. A for a few minutes he just held Betty, scared that if he let go, she would fly back to heaven.. or wherever she was from.
Leaning back slightly, his hands resting against her hips as he spoke softly to her. "Betty.. I've watched you for years.. and you mean to tell me you've done the same? We're either both really stubborn.. or really shy. But I'm going to say I was a fool not to come to you sooner. Because.. you're all any guy could ever hope for. So.. maybe.. if you wanted to.. we you would grant me the honor of taking you to dinner sometime? Tonight.. or tomorrow maybe?" As he spoke, he felt the nervousness well up within him again, stripping him once again of his confidence, he smiled at her, staring into her enchanting brown eyes awaiting her answer. A few dreadful beads of sweat trickled down his spine, even though it was plenty cool in the gym.
(Thought I would leave it so if the dance ends tonight, we can just go elsewhere and finish up ^^)

Heck yeah, they deserved each other! Betty had been a firm believer in that point ever since the day the two first met all those years ago. Admittedly, she had fallen for him at first sight, and once one of her brainless little friends squeaked that he was the coolest thing to hit Retroville since the Ice Age (not including the second Ice Age invoked by the local boy genius), Betty had set her mind to hooking and reeling Nick in. And now - to think Nick had felt the same way - it was mind blowing!
In their own way, they were kind of like Cindy Vortex and Jimmy Neutron. Except more popular and better looking. Cindy and Jimmy had been madly in love for years, hiding their feelings behind a mask of rivalry, and just now they were revealing this secret emotions. Betty and Nick had no rivalry - but weren't they exactly the same otherwise? Being to stubborn and timid to admit their feelings, and thus experiencing year after year of "unrequited" love? In retrospect, it was all very foolish.
Her heart soared as she listened to Nick's confession. She wanted to fly into his arms, but found she was already there. She wanted to pour her heart out, stutter out girlish admittances of love and devotion. But she couldn't - she couldn't give voice to them. As she stared into his deep dark eyes, she found her vocal cord paralyzed. She was still dancing, the movement of the backdrop convinced her of that, but her feet felt frozen to the floor.
Snap out of it, Quinlan! The voice was back, this time giving her more positive direction, Get a grip! Control yourself! He just asked you out - what are you going to say to that?
Right - right. She was cool. She was calm. She was collected. Smiling up at Nick, she managed to reply, "Name the time and place, and I'm there." It was a miracle she got the words out without stuttering, but Betty seemed to be blessed with miracles lately.
(( And now...we cut to wherever the time and place is. XP ))

"Really?" Word vomit. It just kinda came out and made him sound like a moron. Although, however 'uncool' it may have sounded, Nick truly did not care. He wanted to pull a Tom Cruise and jump around on a couch, but there were no couches around. He wanted to do something crazy. Like fly. Yet, he still did retain some kind of control or she would probably run away in fear. His one unspoken dream had come true in a matter of minutes. The beautiful Betty Quinlan was his. His Betty. He liked the sound of that. Suddenly Nick realized he had been standing there, lost within those deep, captivating eyes, his mind drowning in thoughts of victory and dreams come true. "Betty.. I never thought I'd get to hear you say that. I can't believe I almost chickened out again, and almost didn't come over. I can't believe all the time I wasted. At least thats over." The smile that appeared on his face was perhaps the most sincere one he had ever smiled. One of true, unblemished joy. The music was slowly dying down, teachers were cleaning up tables and students were filter out, so he gently took ahold of her hands, placing a tender kiss atop her right hand. Glancing at the door, and the time, he looked back at her with a smirk. "Well, it looks like they're going to kick us out soon. Lets go.. walk somewhere.. I don't care where, I just want to be with you." The duo made their way outside, into the bustling front of the school. Cars, parents, kids the outside was a huge mass of chaos. Then the cool, crisp air washed over him, it was like a wave, and quite a sharp contrast to the humid, hot air of the gym. Turning to face Betty, noting the lack of fabric covering her slender frame. Nick shrugged his leather jacket off, draping the warm jacket around her slender shoulders. "You need that more than I do.." Nick said with a charming wink, as he jammed his hands into his pockets. There was that nervousness, in spite of the wonderful warmth in his core, there was this nervousness surging through him. As though every move he made was being scrutinized by the stunning brunette. It was the strangest thing, a shyness he had never experienced around any woman. Swallowing the lump of nervousness, he suppressed it. Betty had no intention of leaving, she was here wasn't she? Nick extended his arm out for her to take, as he asked, "Well, I bet you're hungry, since the food here was awful, so let me take you somewhere thats open late..Ladies Choice." (You can pick somewhere with food, then we can continue the thread there, since.. the dance had to end.. but it was super fun!! )
